| The Dual Mode Cannula provides a combined
fluid infusion and illumination system for retinal surgery in which both
hands of the surgeon are free to manipulate surgical instruments since
the surgeon need not hold the device during the surgical operation. It
is especially useful in complicated retinal detachment surgery, such as
in the transplantation of retinal pigment epithelia cell, in submacula
and subretinal operations. |
