Synopsis: 360 Giant Retinal Tear set the standard for panoramic visualization of vitrectomy surgery. The movie won numerous awards, including 1st Prize during Vitreous Society Meeting in Rome, in 1999. Giant Retinal Tear wonderfully demonstrates the capabilities of A.V.I. Panoramic Viewing, A.V.I. Video and A.V.I. Illumination/Irrigation System, which, quoting Stanley Chang, MD, are "essential for optimal visualization". The A.V.I. Panoramic Viewing System was first presented during the Jules Gonin Meeting in 1992. 360 Giant Retinal Tear illustrates key sequences in the surgical management of perfluorocarbon liquids use.
